I got native Steam Frame support coming to @resonite.com in the next build (probably tomorrow)! Also size comparison between Index & Frame controller nodes, because people were curious how long it'll be! #Resonite #socialVR #gamedev #indiegame

Brazil rejected Bolsonaro. Serbia's students beat Vučić. Machado is home in Venezuela. What a day for democracy.

And these are the assholes that rant over protecting free speech. I know the First Amendment only applies to the government but these assholes are always claiming to support free speech but clamp down on those with opposing views.

Trump on Cognitive Exam: “They give you five words: Hat, Hair, Logo, White, Black. I repeated them later. They said, “holy shit.” Almost no one can do it. But I can because I’m a freaking genius. He already forgot they were Person, Woman, Man, Camera and TV. Courtesy of @acyn.bsky.social

NEW: CA’s grid handled its highest electricity demand in 4 years — without emergency measures or conservation calls 50,335 megawatts. Extreme heat. And the lights stayed on. While states like TX face major grid failures, CA’s clean energy investments are delivering a stronger, more resilient grid!

WOW. Kristi Noem and Elon Musk, among others, "chose to turn the power of the federal government against a singular employee with an impeccable record of public service. ... The attacks against Ms. Comans were based entirely on false information" and many officials "knew [they] were untrue."

JUST IN: Mag. judge in EDVA clears former FEMA CFO Mary Comans of claims she directed tens of millions in payments for housing undocumented immigrants in NYC. Judge: Statements by Musk & others were 'little more than state-sanctioned intimidation.' Doc: www.documentcloud.org/documents/28...

I am angry tonight. Because tonight ICE shot a New Yorker. They shot a New Yorker while his five year old child was in the car. ICE makes this city less safe. We want them out. Now.

wow -- Fox Business is now treating Trump's completely made up economic boasts as though they are factual. Note the citation here -- "The White House" Reminder that the entire US economy is about $32t. If we really had $21t flowing in, you'd notice it Fox thinks their viewers are really dumb

Disgusting. Trump says he feels bad for the seven Cornell students accused of rape, and his biggest worry is that they "won't get a fair shake" with Letitia James as special prosecutor. Not one word for the victim.

Katie Phang: "Get the fuck out of here. Are you kidding me? You think it's a good use of taxpayers time and money to be able to do illegal redactions and withholds that are now forcing me to have to go and sue? Are you joking? But this is how Todd Blanche thinks."

This is priceless. Check out how local news is reporting on Sen Eric Schmidt’s clown-show grilling of Jack Smith. They found Jack Smith at the game… “Top corner, section 109, row 1. In fact, that seat doesn’t even exist in Atlanta.”

Again: what we’re doing here is defining “understanding” as “the thing that humans do.” If a model is accurately absorbing new information, solving unsolved problems of incredible difficulty, engaging in detailed back-and-forths, but is not “understanding,” the word “understanding” has no meaning.

Ron Belmont@ronbelmont.bsky.social

In any case, your original claim that what an LLM does "requires comprehensive understanding" is demonstrably false because an LLM does not and cannot understand anything.
