New advanced voice model from Jack Dorsey / Block that is made specifically for conversations. Called Dessa. Pretty spooky if it’s as good as the sample demos they published here. Her, the movie, has arrived? block.xyz/dessa

im hoping this will finally be the model where i dont have to insert random filler words into every half second pause to stop it from interrupting

we still have a year or so given how... lacking the responses are here. the model must be pretty small for low latency but that cuts against intelligence/agency to steer the conversation.

Advanced conversational voice models do scare me a little, not gonna lie. So many concerning angles to it.
