OMG I wanted to have this so badly I almost built it myself. Half my account is ranting about forge CLIs (bsky.app/profile/jani... etc.) Wondering if it replaces normal git commands though? E.g stacking and re-basing, moving up a branch tree etc.?

Wait. When submitting a stack though github cli, it doesn't set the remote tracking branch? I'm sure the cli submits the code via git, since I had to unlock my SSH key. If I had push.autoSetupRemote enabled and gh cli would have chosen a different branch name, I'd have two remote branches?

Yeah 100%. bsky.app/profile/jani... I guess jj is already super flexible and has native support in @tangled.org but It's just not for me haha. So a git-native CLI sounds sooo good.

I would love a cli on top of this (as i wrote below Dan's post). Especially one that allows me to use the same stacking/pr/navigation PRs for tangled and GitHub. Right now GitHub locks one into their GH CLI for that. And I don't want to switch to jj
