I'm livid, not only about unjust firings, but also about those who say, They're part of the Executive branch, & so have no independence. That is also wrong. There are laws and rules re their deliberations. In a healthy system, immigration judges apply these; they are NOT loyalists. T is the problem.

But this injustice prompts 2 Qs. One, can these people challenge the dismissals? (I fear the answer is, Probably not.) And two, can evidence of these and other such firings, based on immig. judges' failure to rule as Trump demands, be evidence in appeals from the rulings of OTHER such judges?

Everything that is wrong in America, and now, everything thing that is wrong with the world is the fault of First Felon Trump and his despicable GOP enablers.

I understand that there's a difference between a SCOTUS justice and an immigration judge. But it still seems like this sets a precedent that the adults are within their rights to send the Trump 6 packing once the fascists are gone.

* Trump is a insane, strait of hormuz cornered fear-bitting-rat that will not back down & will survive at any cost. This is how a Nuclear World War is started by a Jim Jones or David Koresh or Marshall Applewhite or charles Manson. And Republicans/MAGA-base/Fundamentalists WILL OWN IT. *

Any future Dem president who doesn't fire every Republican who isn't legally protected is a failure. They must be purged from every level of government.

In other words, unless a judge is willing to decide the way the Orange Dementia Patient’s DOJ wants (regardless of the facts), they’re not wanted as a judge.

Still insane to me that there are people who say they are both anti ICE and anti Palestine/pro Israel. It’s like Trump supporters who say they love immigrants. No you don’t, Zionism and white supremacy are joined at the hip because they’re the same damn thing.

This should halt all deportations. The government is unable to provide credible due process through immigration court now and has to fall back on article 3 courts

1/ if I didn't know better, I'd say that Trump is actually trying to destroy the immigration courts system -- because the statutes assumed that due process would still be provided within the immigration courts, and firing judges for exercising independent judgment practically demands the

Immigration judges in America work at the behest of the Attorney General so there's no judicial independence. That in itself is absolutely inane and the result is what you see here: ideological crazies fire judges.

Anyone else gonna say this reporting is just crap? Examine the entire article and you will not see this: the President violated the law by removing two ALJs who ruled against his administration. SCOTUS CJ Roberts calls this retaliation and harmful to an independent judiciary. The NYT is crap.
