After four days of hesitating, the president of France has joined the prime minister of Spain in saying that the 🇺🇸🇮🇱 attack on Iran is a violation of international law. But they are still the only 2 EU leaders to have done so. Will others join?

If you really follow history, especially starting with the creation of the CIA, it's very clear that America both creates their own enemies (failed regime changes) and is completely infiltrated by Isreal with regards to our politics. It's Isreal first, not America. Trump's a sucker.

Canada sanctioned the attack...... actually, the Liberal Party of Canada sanctioned the illegal immoral attack, but they didn't get government approval to sanction the attack and make Canada ACCOMPLICES to the slaughter of innocent Muslims; and guarantee domestic terrorism.

Even 2 is a good showing given how maniacal Trump is & his tendency to slap crippling tariffs on countries that don't bow and scrape before his idiotic and murderous whims. But hopefully more nations will join in slamming Trump's reckless imperialism.

The EU relies heavily on buying US weaponry to defend itself and assist Ukraine so I doubt many will speak up. France is the exception to the rule and has a solid defense industry independent of the US.

The reason the US has attacked Iran is because the country has something they want. It's nothing to do with Iranian people. I mean why was Afghanistan aborted. Oh yes, nothing in it for the US

the US is running out of munitions AND HAS ALSO ATTACKED ECUADOR. I think people realise the US is not half as powerful as they’ve pretended, so now countries are distancing themselves. Not before time.

It's an obvious violation of the law. It doesn't require deep analysis to figure that out. What they hesitate over is pissing off the orange turd.

Merz is soft as a stool after ten pints porter. Gormless man. Germany looking back to the 2008 crash saddled Ireland with the bulk of its global banking debt and told the Irish to take the medicine. Germany thinks this fawning over the Israeli position harbouring Netanyahu is okay nope

Operation Epstein Fury — with a bonus to help Bibi get re-elected so he doesn’t have to face charges for his criminal behavior — is rolling on as Donald Trump ignores the constitutional requirement that only Congress can declare war.

I can't really get worked up about the legalities of a strike against a dictatorship that ignores international law themselves, recently murdered 30,000 of its people for demonstrating & has sponsored savage terrorism for decades I don't agree with Trump hitting places on a whim though

From my reads, as the war spreads, waiting to hear from other EU & Western leaders that the war violated international law. Meanwhile, Global South countries (e.g. China, Pakistan, South Africa, Brazil, Turkey, Oman, Malaysia, Indonesia and others) have framed the war as illegal or illegitimate.

Yet somehow he can still blame Iran. Macron is a joke. The whole of the EU, sans Spain, has made a mockery of international law. First Gaza, then the West Bank, Lebanon, Venezuela, and now Iran. Pathetic basal states.

Man, I don't particularly like Macron or anything, but I appreciate his willingness to try and set a good example and be a leader in terms of being a respectable member on the international community. I know Spain was first here but he's fairly consistency in this respect...

Most Americans condemn Trump Regime & Israel’s “Illegal war against Iran” International laws should be respected! Every country should condemn Israel & Trump Regime for unnecessary illegal wars 🤬

After taking it up the derrière for so long, it took France a while to find the courage to say stop it! Not many leaders have the courage of a Sanchez or Carney. After being a victim for so long, it takes a while to recover.

Pedro Sánchez is and has been an example of a world leader, from the start go he has taken Trump & his bombing to task. Sanchez is correct & will not bend the knee to a bully like some major countries in Europe & the world. The Spanish opposition party is a disgrace in backing the murder of people.

Germany wont, we elected a chancellor who sees himself more as an american than as a german (his words) and used to work as CEO of BlackRock Germany, who own like 7% of all stock-noted big companies in Germany already. We no longer exist as a souvereign nation, we are a vassal to the USA, not the EU

Last night's broadcast was a clear exposition of the issues and France's response. It's something the French take for granted but there's a total absence of any attempt in the UK to inform and explain. Actually, it's a failure of leadership. Starmer is simply hopeless

Hey Macron, I hear it’s totally cool to go kidnap leaders of other countries at your discretion. This one couldn’t even run if he was chasing a Big Mac. Should be easy!

This guy is a lying, manipulating, fascist wannabe, I wish you all would stop spreading his PR crap and congratulating him (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

well macron is a bit of a pushover parroting trumpette about nuclear weapons bla bla we stand ready to help allies bla bla..and now we can expect problems at home bla bla, Im not sure how ready he will be because his polling numbers are in the toilet and this would totally allow the right into power

I hope so The EU needs to speak up and try to hold Trump in control instead of bending the knee to kiss the ring. They are appeasing him & that is the worst thing they can do@!@

The last time France went against the US in the war with Iraq, the dumbest people in America renamed FRENCH fries to FREEDOM fries on their menus

Good! Here's where diplomacy starts. Condemn any Iran retaliation on other countries like Saudi, Emirates, Cyprus. Support any action, including military, to stop it. Push UN denounce illegal bombings by Iran, and do our best to replace the Iran regime for good. The right thing done in the right way

AND YET NO PROTESTS IN THE US WHAT SO EVER. EVERYBODYS YAPPING ON BS EN X BUT NO ACTION ANYWHERE. THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ARE THE ONES WHO SHOULD RISE UP. NOT THE EUROPEAN LEADERS, WHOLL GET HARRASSED BY TRUMP BY THE WAY. SO DONT BLAME IT ON THEM, BLAME IT ON THE PEOPLE. Sorry for the caps...

Since it was French intelligence that kept Canada out of Iraq, I'd really like to know what the French know and if they're sharing?

Matters not. Weathervane Keith has now involved us in this illegal war by allowing the Krasnovians to use our bases The defensive status thing is a complete lie too. You know as well as I that the blood thirsty trigger happy cunts will just bomb anything that moves. Including school children

I'm old enough to remember the last couple times the international community spoke out against the US unilaterally engaging in war in the Middle East. Afterwards they sent troops and fully supported the US in their efforts.

The 🇮🇱 lobby has sufficiently cowed the West with repeated accusations of antisemitism that most European leaders are reluctant to say too much about their 🇺🇸 abetted war against Islamic countries. They know the "Why do you hate Jews?" accusation will be used to deflect any criticism. It always is.

How and why is it that what is called "normal" life just goes on in the US when thousands - and the number increases every minute - are made to suffer and die in our name? These are all human beings. When will we look beyond our own gas prices to mourn the flesh and blood on all sides? Why?

The EU was built partly on the idea that no single country should be able to start a war without consequences. Two members said so out loud. The other 25 are currently checking which way the wind is blowing.

France only did that Couse the backfire of the situation QATAR and ARAB oil is not reaching anymore . meaning no electricity no gas for cars and more ! if this went like Venezuela thy would have said thy are glade of the out come !

Well everyone knows how vindictive Trump is and the decision is stand up for what’s right, or deal with the toddler’s anger. I’d expect more to stand up but they are also wrestling with the Iranian regime that was allied with Russia, anti-Ukraine, pro-China and ridiculous on women’s rights.

I follow your point but we haven’t gotten to the point of mandatory escort by males anywhere in public, and hijabs yet. I’m just saying is the Iranian regime wouldn’t be missed by a lot of people and that is a factor in foreign gov’t statements.
