8 hours later and the best SDOT could do was add a few cones. If these were in the car lanes do you think they'd still be there?

I continue to believe that a bike lane is only "protected" if it has steel beams anchored into concrete to keep drivers out.

It's just so telling the state of driver behavior in Seattle where this this bridge has a dislodged Toronto barrier seemingly once a month or every other month. These things are 1,680 pounds each!

It seems like anything that can hit with enough force to move that would either: - slam into it and crack it in half - be intentionally pushing it slowly Gotta get some cameras on that.

Honestly I find the cones deployed by most DPWs to be vaguely condescending. Gee thanks, my silly, reckless, dangerous cyclist brain would have missed that obvious danger. Thanks kind sirs! Saved me from becoming a statistic someone uses to argue bike use on the path should have more restrictions ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ

Thatโ€™s the hallmark of any DPWโ€™s cones, silly! Put them right smack in front of obvious danger, never where theyโ€™d actually be a useful warning!
