Voter suppression isn't quite the same thing as apathy. If you make it harder for people to vote with unnecessary requirements it keeps those standing in line from voting. Put term limits in & the lazy voter won't bother to vote at all. Why should they? The term limit does the voting for them.

So many people don't realize how this will disenfranchise 80% of married women who change their name after marriage. Make some noise. Flood the Zone. Call your senators. We have to stop this.

Your birth certificate will only work if your name matches. If not, marriage certificate too. Married more than once? Prove the whole chain of your identity. They mean to keep women from voting.

You know rural ranchers, farmers, or service industry workers in any state can’t necessarily get off on Election Day to vote. Most live in Red states. Outlawing mail-in or early voting could hurt Republicans also. And women will have to jump through hoops to register. Happened to me!

There's no way this will pass the Senate for lots of reasons, and there are an awful lot of "what's so wrong with IDs" posts on social media. I can't help but think Republicans know it won't pass and are setting up a false flag campaign against Democrats in the midterms.

Hey, Republicans- you know this is our nation’s 250th birthday, right? It’s bad enough we have your demented authoritarian in office, but have you considered just how bad it looks to be undermining VOTING?!

Voter ID would match the name on the bcertif and would be the only document needed to register and vote. Women would be protected even if they are married. It needs to be free and easy to obtain. It would cost a fortune for a non issue but it would help restore confidence in the election process
