I really hope for @godotengine.org to add support for embedded game view for #linux at some point.. #gamedev #godot

It works for me with 4.5 on Fedora 43 KDE plasma

That’s because kde does not run on Wayland by default but on x11. The issue is with Wayland… as usual.

KDE 6 uses Wayland now. I checked it with "echo "$XDG_SESSION_TYPE" env", and it prints "wayland env". I’m just getting back to Linux after 10 years on Windows, so I’m no expert. I’ve installed the NVIDIA akmod drivers, in case that affects anything. Hope they fix it for everyone.

I’m on 4.5.1. With a clean Fedora 43 KDE Plasma install and the nvidia akmod drivers, it just worked. I didn’t even know this problem existed until I saw your post. Quite strange.

In Godot there is an option to enable the Wayland support, which as far as I know it is disabled by default.. hence why you are probably running Godot in a x11 session, that’s why you don’t see the issue. latest gnome instead, removed support for x11 session entirely.
