pull the husk back, remove the silk, replace the husk, soak for an hour in heavily salted water. grill over charcoal. no butter or salt needed, best tasting corn i've ever had.

The fresher the corn, the sweeter! So set up a propane camp stove in the garden. Put 2inch water in a big pot w/ a tight fitting lid. Once water is boiling, harvest the ears and pop em IMMEDIATELY into boiling water. Put the lid back on and cont boiling for 10 min. Eat while standing in garden!

If you don’t have a microwave, you can also do this by roasting unhusked ears in the oven for about 20 minutes (long enough for the water in the silks to steam the corn) and then same extraction. Temp doesn’t really matter so if you’re baking other stuff, you just throw right on the rack with it.
