Let me tell you about Sol Food! It's a San Rafael / Marin institution, recognizable by its bright green building. They serve the best Puerto Rican food I've ever had. I usually got the pollo al horno with pink beans and split tostones / maduros, but everything I ever tried there was great.

I don't make it up that way often but I'm gonna try to remember this

I've attempted to recreate Sol Food's pollo al horno many times since I left the Bay Area. This is probably the prettiest version I ever did.

That looks better than my attempts. I do buy hot sauce and salad dressing and have it shipped though.
