Decided to pull out an important part of the interview. Generative AI is often justified with comparisons to the cost of Amazon Web Services ($57bn) or Uber's ($32bn) in losses, when its costs and losses are hundreds of billions of dollars worse. And there's no post-bubble redemption story.

Anthropic and OpenAI are dangerous and unsustainable companies that shouldn’t be taken public. The AI bubble is a con and retail investors are the marks. AI doesn’t have ROI, it’s nothing like AWS or Uber, and it’s got no post-bubble recovery story. www.youtube.com/watch?v=zbKD...

AWS was built out because Amazon needed it. They built the service their company needed, and opened it up to others because needing it themselves identified an underserved market. Uber is an exploitive, abusive company that churns drivers like mad. They are not a role model for anything

Crucially AWS mostly went without profit because they kept investing in more everything. But fundamentally anything they bought or built was profitable the instant it was powered on. A disk paid for itself in minutes. Not so with the slopmaker 9000.

Actually genuinely proud that after a year of constantly batting away the "but what about Uber/AWS" talking point I've got it down to a tight 90 seconds. People need to face the truth here and now anyone who asks I can just send them this

I'd love to hear your take on what Big Tech itself will do after the bubble pops. (I predict turbo-charged enshittification. No new markets to conquer or customers to entice. How else can they fill a multibillion dollar hole but by squeezing the lemon harder?)

I stopped watching for the bubble to burst. The rich already have all the money and they'll keep passing it between each other till one of them gets the chance to take it all.
