About time. But it REALLY peeves me they are not doing it out of moral courage, but only because they believe it will buy them votes. The good new is that means the tide of public opinion is shifting and people are not ok with this kind of cruelty to trans folk. That is a good thing!

Republicans have gotten *super weird* about trans stuff. This type of ad writes itself. The trick is just to reject the plainly bad faith Republican framing of the issue and use a little common sense (which is sadly something Democrats struggle to do with many issues).

In the last couple yrs my response to anyone wanting to do trans panic abt kids is this: “So tell me how many hrs a day do you spend thinking about children’s penises and vaginas?” -I always say the anatomical words and often follow up with “all day kids genitals in your brain, creepy&gross”
