Early voting turnout in Virginia is jaw dropping stuff among Latino voters. Across all other demographics, numbers are well ahead of 2022 at the same point but Hispanic/Latino turnout is 50% higher than it was in 2024-- a presidential election year!

i think we have to consider the possibility that Trumpism as implemented in v2.0 effectively did a CA prop 187 self own, but nationwide this time

My 2 cents: Like everyone else, inflation and post-Covid negativism, plus many identify with GOP businessman tropes and they thought Trump would only deport drug dealers/criminals

Yes, they did, and they know better now and that’s why their voting patterns are changing. Hispanics are actually quite a diverse group; many are culturally very conservative (especially men), and Karl Rove was absolutely right to court them. Many were potentially gettable for the GOP.

It’s life and death for all of us, but especially for Latinos. When we look back on this agonizing time, we will realize the only way to break the Trump cult was to go through the fire of his second term. We had to let him be the architect of his own downfall. But the collateral damage is unbearable

everyone is rightly terrified about the polls being wrong again but the other guys have perfectly recreated the conditions for poll miss but in the opposite direction

giant enthusiasm gap, Trump not on the ballot and his low propensity voters don’t show up for midterms at the best of time, all the 2024 flippers are even angrier about inflation but at him now, basically declared war on red-shifting minority groups…

Yeah, I doubt "Latinos" will vote republican any time soon. Maybe in a few generations when the last currently alive are no longer guiding young people and they have to relearn why doing so is kin to Jews voting for Hitler. Wait for the new year when whites start feeling the pain, it hasn't started.

Unfortunately all the 2024 autopsies determined that Democrats have lost Hispanics for a generation so it is too soon to tell if this is a good or bad thing for Democrats./sarcasm

i mean that's what i would assume! especially since polling has shown a dramatic decrease in latino GOP support in every poll
