Veteran of dial up BBS, mIRC, AOL federated messaging, and Google Reader. When all this is gone I will remain. The most important thing is helping people.
Unfortunately, the season's win-loss record is divided into sixty-minute increments rather than playing two thirty-minute games each week against the same opponent
My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die. Hello! My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.
"How dare he insult our favorite tacky middlebrow restaurant" is their rage about a Black man who (correctly) asserts that CF's luxe decor is a commoner's idea of fancy; & that he knows where to get better common-people food AND better fancy food, and is more welcome in both venues than his enemies.
UCF's starting kicker took a facemask trying to run with the blocked kick, so the backup is coming out to try the second.
BUT THERES A 10 SECOND RUNOFF FOR THE NOT-FOUL AND THE GAME WILL GO TO OVERTIME
Wait, skip past the part where ex-gov't.-employees who believe in the rule of law make common cause with "black bloc" antifa, and with DSA who can barely make common cause with themselves, and skip ahead to the part where they activate their Super Turbo Coup if the Democrats ... *win* in November??
I need to teach some kind of like... basic continuum mechanics to every driver. You're not going to "get in front". There's no "in front". When you get up there, there's just going to be more cars.
And they're not even in front! You can't get to the front. You're not ever going to be in the front.
BREAKING: Vance has become a hurricane as it churns off the coast of Mexico, the National Hurricane Center said early Friday. The center said the storm is expected to strengthen rapidly and could be a major Category 4 hurricane before the end of the day.
Was really excited to write an oral history of the handoff to Joe Thuney for 2 yards but, it instead it was an illegal forward handoff.

Amazon Prime, I promise you I know way too much about the digital advertising ecosystem to EVER click on a pop-up ad thatโs running on top of a streaming ad

Retrofitted our minivan with some high-intensity police-surplus noisemakers. Watch folks swerve out of our way when we're in a hurry now!
Stop looking at me like that. How can you call it an Odyssey if it doesn't have sirens?

We were investigating Wedgewood for faking their data and emailed them for comment this morning, ahead of publishing the findings tomorrow. They are now trying to cover up their fraud with the "we were doing a social experiment" excuse.

ok non-tech ppl might be hearing some scary things about "critical vulnerabilities" involving certificates. the main thing you need to know, without getting down in the weeds about it, is that the fourth seal is broken. lo, a rider approacheth upon a pale steed, and his name is Death
Wedgewood Polls, having been caught by @fiftyplusone.news fabricating polling data, deploys the "it was a social experiment!!" defense for their obviously deliberate fraud.
There are 4 bsky accounts that amplified their polling, all echoing one pink-slime domain that was registered on 9-15-26.
The four bsky accounts echoing the single pink-slime domain were created in late September and post on an automated tempo, echoing each other in pairs. Looks like just regular monetized newsfeed nonsense, not like anything created specifically to advance Wedgewood's polls.
I have no empirical or peer-reviewed basis for this, but:
LLMs are shape rotators, not wordcels.
Their code (shape rotation) is getting better all the time
Their prose (wordcel) sucks and always will
(Caveats: Early voting margin isn't a strong predictor of final margin in most states, cannibalization is real, in many states the majority of voters show up on EDay, etc.)
I understand coaches who say "I don't trust the analytics", but I am baffled by the ones who say "I trust the analytics, but sometimes you gotta go with your gut."
Man, if you only follow the analytics when they match your gut... that's mathematically identical to just going with your gut.
My LLM is TELNETing into the kOS/PEGAS programmable guidance & control mod for Kerbal Space Program, and now it's doing its best to put 4 satellites into kerbostationary orbit, spaced evenly at 90-degree longitudinal bands.
