The people railing about Cowardly Liberals right now really don’t seem to understand how I bet at least 90% of the people who show up to protest would self-identify as if you asked them about their political beliefs

To me, any time someone complains about “Libs” “The lefty” “Liberals” “Lefties” It just sounds like they watch too much Fox News to me Neoconfederate right wing conservative reactionaries are the problem

Yep. And lumping in people that are trying to support the Democratic Party in good faith (because literally there’s no other choice) with the private interest driven politicians is not helpful. Pragmatic liberals do not support genocide which amazingly has to be said. Literally the only choice.

I didn’t know there was such a rift between liberal vs. progressive vs. lefty until I got on BS. I think a political compass would have me squarely in the “liberal” range, but I’d drive a tank through the White House gates w/ Bill Kristol if I thought it would save our democracy from these fascists.

I am not arguing the other side. I agree with Faine we need mass mobilization and I'll be there. But I think leftist know you'd get in a tank with Bill Kristol. What we don't know is if you'll get in the tank with an anarchist.

That's where the contention lies. I swear to ride into battle with Tom Nichols and Hillary Clinton. Do y'all swear to ride into battle with the kids throwing molotov cocktails at ICE vehicles? That's what happened at Maidan. Complete societal mobilization.

The people railing against "Cowardly Liberals" are talking about elected Democrats, columnists, and self-IDed "liberals" who fantasize about how Republicans are going to murder us queers, not people showing up to protest.

I think a decent amount of that can also be attributed to Americans not being so great at accurately applying political labels. Plus, a lot of people under 30 (give or take) have mostly heard "liberal" used as an insult or meme by the left & right.
