So yes, I feel very confident that Trump probably is only seeing incredibly AI-manipulated versions of the Minneapolis shooting video, crafted to support the fascist jerk-off visions of the likes of Miller and Vance. Again, why wouldn’t they do that? Who would stop them?

maybe. but we know from the smith investigation that he was fully informed about the reality of the 2020 election outcome. no reason this should differ. he's turning this into another version of election denialism: publicly denying dhs culpability is now a loyalty test.

2020 was basically an eternity ago. there was no AI slop. Trump’s brain was somewhat more intact. this is all far worse and weirder now.

I also agree that Trump’s advisors themselves are being fed massive amounts of GenAI manipulated content by other actors and entities - Elon’s Twitter/X and Grok function as an incredibly effective funnel for deranging the minds of the GOP elite.

Various actors now post vast amounts of politically targeted GenAI slop on Twitter/X. Trump’s advisors consume this slop, believe much of it, and turn around and generate AI slop of their own. Trump’s advisors feed this hyper-distilled slop to Trump himself. Thus the batshit cycle perpetuates.

Probably, but part of the problem is he's a lifelong grifter whose entire pre-political career consisted of lying about real estate amenities, development plans, his finances and assets, and the sources of those assets. He'd be saying the same things about the murder in Minneapolis if he was 40.

The fact that Trump is somebody who constantly makes false statements and statements that are falsified when he changes his mind isn't a new thing, nor is the question of how much of his bullshit he actually believes a new question.

there is one video (also included in the nyt forensic analysis) that looks like he's going to be hit, because of the angle. this is the vid he showed to those other nyt reporter who "interviewed" him. selected evidence, no fakes needed. and he isn't prone to condemn violence by his goons in any way.

I don't think they need to? If you've never interacted in a meaningfully traumatic way with someone with NPD you may not have experienced their reality warping field. Neurotypical minds really struggle with someone who never participates in shared reality. You can't confront them with evidence.
