In 2004, we took on tech giants to give you a real choice. 20+ years later, we're still fighting for the internet you love, and we've been busy. Here are 4 ways Firefox keeps getting better:

5: View and edit PDF files direclty in the browser. (Which, after doing so, caused me to wonder: would it be possible to get the Firefox PDF editor as a stand-alone version? It would greatly benefit my workflow, and potentionally the workflow of others, too.)

Just tried it again, and it is still not possible to edit existing text. It feels like using an image-editing program's text tool. This is not nothing, and I get that real PDF editing is really hard, but calling it a PDF editor is a stretch.

yeah its pretty well made, heavily underrated, and completely free compared to the guys over at adobe

I'll have to give this a try. Most days I'm trying to edit pdfs at work where we deploy the ESR package. It has limited pdf functionality. I can add new text to pdfs but cant edit existing text in the file. I think Mozilla/Firefox should just straight up build an editor.

I've given up on tab groups. I had 5 tab groups, just one of them which I work with on a daily basis. Over time the others vanished. I don't know if it was after Firefox updates or over time. Then one day even my last tab group was gone. Sticking to favorites and folders within.

3. Turn off every AI feature with one switch, or decide which ones stay. It's your choice.

It's about sodding time. One A.I. removal switch? You could have put that in the first time, couldn't you? The huge push you made for A.I. to be part of the Firefox browser pushed users away. You could have avoided that so easily, with that 1 sodding feature, but you had to make it difficult.

We should probably say this isn't out worldwide yet, btw. Seen people online confused that they can't find it.
