Did someone ask them why they cut the arts and culture budgets AND fucked the prison system into the ground including their disastrous attempt to privatise the parole system the last time they were anywhere near power. Maybe also ask if they think we're really fucking thick too.

So arts and culture are getting in the way of imprisoning rapists. This is not desperate fearmongering, I repeat, not desperate fearmongering, as part of the lamest attempt at a culture war in the English language.

How about we tax rich people more, and they get to enjoy living in a society that funds arts and culture and where people aren't engaging in criminality in order to fund a decent standard of living?

When actually the media they might soon be enjoying is tiktok videos of opera houses getting burned to the ground. I'd much rather we didn't get to that point.

“Always put community safety first” During their 14 years in power from 2010 to 2024, the Conservative government delivered a net increase of 482 to 500 prison places in England and Wales.

Don't know what's worse, that she started with the arts and culture cuts because she thinks that's also a selling point to this idea, or that Labour will now be really tempted to one-up this and propose bigger cuts for arts and culture.

There is no art or culture left. Michael Gove took a wrecking ball to arts education so there will be no next generation. Eff the Tories.
