After centuries of close relations, many Canadians have homes and family and businesses in the U.S. My eighty year old neighbour is going to the U.S. for her granddaughter’s wedding. Can’t fault her. We have to do our best for sure, but some folks have to go. We could stop cross border sports though
We live in northern Vermont and last fall we adopted our kitten Marcel from a shelter in Quebec. They had driven cats over the border in the past but were understandably too hesitant to cross the border under the current regime. Our friend @stonkers.bsky.social drove up to get him!
Proud to participate. They broke their country, they are now breaking the world and there is no going back (apologies to the 1/3 of Americans who voted against this and must live this nightmare every day) Such a beautiful country that has given the world so much, but now in the fascism/ terror game.
For people who like tulips, the Canadian Tulip Festival in Ottawa is running from May 8-18. tulipfestival.ca
Other countries are ditching U.S products -- military weapons and software systems-- because Trump uses those as leverage. Some country ordered and paid for weapons systems--only to have Trump divert the material to the Iran War! They were livid. www.independent.co.uk/news/world/e...
