I hope he wins. I hope every D wins because the Rs are spineless cowards. I worry that he will be painted as a radical socialist, and stuff he’s said in the past will haunt him (see Kamala). Rogers is a trump toady but seen as semi-sane. don’t know how this will play in a purple state.

Stevens was a terrible candidate, but AIPAC is the most toxic political group in America. It’s like taking money from NAMBLA at this point.

Stevens is down 5 when she was supposed to be down 15%. Nobody will even call the race yet. Obviously not a bloodbath

I would vote for either if I lived there! (duh) But my hot take is people are shallow. He spoke well, she also spoke well after explaining herself. But her overall Michigan accent might alienate people. Easily attackable by non Michiganders. But my guess was going to be him by only 4 points. /lol

he'll win by at least 5 points, probably more. Just like the primary his numbers are only going up and the guy who couldn't even beat Slotkin in red 2024 is not gonna be the one to win Michigan in "D+10 is the floor" 2026

Big difference is the governor is on the ballot this year so there will be more turnout among low info voters, who I assume tend to be more racist, and will balk at a name like El Sayed. The way for him to overcome this is to keep kicking ass on campaign trail and make himself a household name…

Let’s not forget Slotkin got less votes than Harris in ‘24.

The polls were very similar for Stevens vs Rogers and El-Sayed vs Rogers. And all the money attacking El-Sayed has pushed his numbers down while Rogers hasn't faced any attacks yet. With a blue wave El-Sayed will be helped a lot. Of course he needs to regain support from Stevens voters

Pundits are underestimating how fed up the average Dem voter is with moderate Dems refusing to thwart the Republican hegemonic agenda. Ppl want government to do what it should: care for constituents.
