One old trick in politics is to oppose something possible while calling for something impossible. Example: Here's Gavin Newsom leading the charge for a "national billionaires tax" while he and his paid goons work to kill a state billionaire tax. This allows him to be on both sides for 2028.

Every time I speak up about Newsom, people get mad. Mostly people who aren't here in California watching him closely. Being a good Trump troll doesn't mean you have the qualities to be a good president, and I really hope people figure that out before the primary.

From my perspective, a vote for Newsom is a vote for Musk, Thiel, Crypto…fascism. He won’t challenge their interests or hit them. His consultant goons already working for Silicon Valley. Newsom is great for people with a superficial grasp of reality, those who think the fight ends when a Dem wins.

I'm watching him closely & I also listen. Governors have different priorities & if he is worried about tech, leaving calif, I can understand that. However, billionaires & millionaires need to pay their g-d fair share. It's rarely simple especially if you're thoughtful

The answer to this is twofold: -You’ve often spoken of California’s leadership on national issues. Shouldn’t California take the lead here as well? -Why not both a national measure and a California one?

I don't claim to know why anybody does anything, because I can't read their mind or their emails. I'm predisposed towards Newsom since moving back to Calif in 2017 because he protected us during covid and i'm reserving judgment on the tax until I know more about it.

look he’s a decent governor…..for california. even tho he;s voting against the one time wealth tax cuz he’s a corporate shill for silicon valley. i’m talking objectively abt the sentiments as they express, not a secret, across the country.
