I didn’t engage in the Platner discourse much because it seemed like enough people were fighting about it but, as a guy who worked in politics, like, yeah—ixnay on the azinay attostay

In any case, the people who warned of Platner’s many, many, many red flags were right. Those who ignored them should feel deeply humbled, and should remember this lesson the next time they wanna fall head over heels for magic toxic progressive dudebro.

One of his biggest advocates, Sen. Sanders, may want to reassess support without proper vetting. As a long time Bernie supporter, it appears, he was too quick to jump on this bandwagon and/or trainwreck.

Did you get blocked for being mildly critical too? bsky.app/profile/labg...

Was this too spicy for you, Gil Durán? I valued your opinion on the matter so I was polite, but blocking folks to avoid addressing these points is cowardly. Didn't realize you were up on the same high-horse as the rest of the supposedly pre-cognitive leftists who didn't see this allegation coming.

It’s hard when you know the depths the opposition will go - but yes - I feel humbled that I made excuses for what I thought were decades old 20 something bad behaviors with equal players… clearly. we are in the way too much smoke zone. I’m disappointed he wasn’t a better man 😒

The Platner Principle is actually that someone who lies repeatedly, reflexively, at the least bit of trouble, who has so little self-control that he has to embellish every story - that person has terrible judgment and will have scandals. This covers more people than those with Nazi tattoos. 1/

mmmm. not sold. 70s punk rockers put swastikas on their jackets. he was never at a nazi event. spouting off on redit abt nazi ideology. it seems it was some dark humor when he and his military comrades were disillusioned with war/killing and said they were like nazis.

Oh, my bad. I guess I just didn't understand the symbolism. Now that I know its a nope, and nope again. I'm more concerned that people are STILL fighting for the right to have a Nazi tattoo over potential character flaws it may represent like thinking rape is ok.
