It wasn't a resolution—it was the annual outcome document In the official explanation of its vote, the US objected to: • The specific language used for gender identity. • Terminology regarding reproductive health rights (arguing it could be interpreted as creating an international right to abortion)

Read their recommendations. We must reform the national Democratic Party.

Fundraising costs gobble up most of the funds raised. Billions are spent on TV ads that have virtually no impact. Candidates may win or lose—but the consulting class always wins. trib.al/BSwT0XF

Can this man get any more disgusting?

Christopher Webb@cwebbonline.com

Grumpy Old Man Trump doubles down. Claims he knows nothing about Acton or her mother, then spends several minutes repeating the mother’s attacks, calling Acton unfit to be governor, and defending the disgusting ad exploiting her childhood trauma. He knows nothing, except every GOP talking point.

Beware! This is happening in several "Red" states, including Texas and Florida. Some people are claiming that the machines are just "miscalibrated." Maybe so, but certainly NOT by accident. If it were an accident, some would do the opposite. This is a DELIBERATE GOP attempt to steal votes.

People will probably say my finger was too high but I was clicking directly on Nixon's name and DEM here Jacksonville, FL. The poll worker told me to use the stylus but it did the same thing.

We know what they are trying to hide: the truth. Renee and Alex should still be here today. Operation Metro Surge was carried out by a lawless federal police force empowered by the president to use fear and violence.   The Good and Pretti families deserve answers. So do Minnesotans.

This young man is an exceptional human being.

This is some dystopian nightmare crap. We’re moving from AI helping humans make decisions to AI making life and death decisions with minimal human oversight. What could possibly go wrong?

The American flag and military branch flags fell to the ground right before Hegseth addressed cadets. You could spend all day writing a metaphor for his leadership and still not come up with anything quite so brutally on the nose. The stage directions wrote themselves #sheshed#momsky #momthevote

This is who the Republicans are. They want all the power of office with none of the responsibility.

Republican Rep. Andy Harris incorrectly told a reporter they were breaking the law as the reporter and others recorded an exchange with him last night. Harris had just wrapped up a debate with Democratic challenger Dan Schwartz.

It is amazing that anyone can still doubt that Trump is a Putin asset. Trump's diesel deal will: - Finance Putin's murderous war on Ukrainian civilians - Fracture the US-Europe alliance - Allow Russia to provide even more support to Iran Trump's true goal is Russia first, America last.

I’ll say it again: he’s a Russian asset. The Republicans elected and continue to support a man who acts in the best interests of an enemy nation. There’s a word for that….

Ambassador Ken Fairfax (ret)@portlandken.bsky.social

Trump just announced that he is importing 400,000 tons of Russian diesel right away and up to 4,000,000 tons over the coming months. Every US$ going to Putin will be used to buy more missiles and drones to kill Ukrainian civilians. Trump's largess will lead to thousands of deaths. 1/2

Companies linked with Trump's two eldest sons have received over $6 billion in government contracts. Some are established companies that invited the sons to join their Boards, but more are new start-ups with zero experience that are *magically* receiving massive contracts. Corruption gone wild.

The President of the United States just said he is okay with a foreign nation killing tens of millions of Americans. So when do we declare the last straw? When does Congress (controlled by Republicans, if you haven’t noticed) act? Never. VOTE BLUE. And then push like hell for prosecution.

Christopher Webb@cwebbonline.com

Not my president. Clearly, not a president for all Americans. “Let them (Iran) take out Los Angeles. Let them take out San Diego.” Then Trump called it a “small price to pay.” Millions of us dead. And his audience laughed. Reporting from my local news…

This tells you everything about how Trump sees this country. The destruction, the fear and the innocent people who would pay the actual price are just collateral damage to him.

A MORATORIUM ON DATA CENTERS SHOULDN’T EVEN BE IN QUESTION AT THIS POINT And we definitely need more reporting on this issue: HEAT Data centers devour electricity and water, dump heat into communities, and Big Tech is building them faster than lawmakers are dealing with the consequences.

The 2027 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) would be difficult for future administrations to end. So not just no to the NDAA, but fuck no. It would allow them to bypass traditional yearly funding debates, as well as integrate U.S. supply chains with Israeli military priorities.

Roanoke, Virginia is building solar-plus-battery microgrids for its two high schools, making it the first school district in the state to do so! They're expected to save more than $22 million in electricity costs over 35 years 👏🏼

The accounting is in: In Oregon there are 111 data centers. The TOTAL number of people employed at data centers is just 2,630, or 0.1% of the labor force. Those 100 data centers consumer 23% of all electricity used in Oregon. Meanwhile, electricity rates skyrocket as more centers are built.
