I'm not saying it was a quest hook, I'm just saying I'd feel pretty stupid if I ignored it and missed the beginning of my adventure.

I still remember the time I was sat in my English class in sixth form and a crow sat on the branch outside the window and stood, starring at me for at least twenty minutes before it flew of when I wasn't looking. Sometimes I think we may have avoided this *motions to everything on fire*

Back when I was in community college, there was a foggy morning when I came in and through the whole walk between my car and the building there was literally nobody around. Then, as I was approaching the building my class was in, a crow landed in front of me.

It looked at me, then turned around and did that funny crow hop all the way to my building. Flew off when I got to the door. Pretty much the closest thing to a religious experience I've ever had.

I watched what seemed to be a juvenile hawk hop around on top of a shrub earlier today, I was standing in the door watching it from across the street. I think it was hunting for mice, but it definitely looked at me a couple times. I wonder what my quest is.

If you're wandering the woods in costume close to twilight in autumn and the crows start yelling at you, you don't argue: you toss out some of your trail snacks for them and thank them for watching over you.
