Look, the Republican Party is pushing white supremacist policies to destroy our ability to change the system through democratic electoral politics. So it's time to stop giving their billionaire benefactors our money. Cancel ONE THING from a billionaire today. You can do it! #CancelParty

None of us can cancel everything. But all of us can cancel SOMETHING. One eminently practical suggestion: Does your family have more than one Amazon Prime account? You absolutely don't need more than one! Cancel one of those tonight!

I cancelled Microsoft 365 and switched to stand-alone installations like this just over a year ago. Biggest drawback as far as I can tell is that in October 2026, Microsoft will stop providing security updates for Office 2021. support.microsoft.com/en-us/office...

I cancelled my Home Depot online account because they were allowing ICE to stage in their parking lots. Felt great! Now I just buy from local hardware stores. Works fine!

I don't buy from Starbucks because of their union issues. INCREDIBLY easy not to buy coffee from them! You can buy coffee almost ANYWHERE! (I don't drink coffee, which makes it even easier, lol, but you get it!)

Small and easy thing you can do to get started -- download your last couple of credit card statements and look through them for recurring charges. I bet you'll find crap you forgot you subscribed to and don't need! Cancel 'em! You'll hurt a right wing billionaire's feelings AND save money!

Comics and photography friends, are you paying too much for Adobe? If you click through to cancel your account, they'll often make you an offer for a year at a vastly discounted rate! (Be careful, though - if you've committed to a year and cancel early, they can hit you with fees.)

I can't find the post now, but someone sharp had a suggestion to cancel all but one Meta platform. Can't do without Instagram? I get it. But I bet you can cancel Facebook or Threads or WhatsApp!

so key. this isn’t about purity. this is about doing what we can to collectively push back against right wing billionaires while still surviving in a deeply flawed world. bsky.app/profile/most...

"none of us can cancel everything but everyone can cancel something" is the heart of this. Sometimes it feels like folks on here are more interested in yelling at each other over the ways we're all struggling to navigate this system instead of figuring out what parts we can do.

Another thing that helps - unsubscribe from a bunch of billionaire business emails! You don't want that crap anyway. Unsubscribe and cancel the online accounts you don't need! That's good for protecting your info anyway - helping you avoid future hacks/security breaches.

One thing I've taken to doing whenever I deal with any kind of customer service is, at the end of the exchange I toss out a quick "by the way any chance of you setting up on Bluesky? I'm not on Facebook or X." Bluesky isn't perfect, but I'd love to get more people off the Muskerberg sites.

In the past 15 months (since Trump took office) I’ve cancelled Disney, Hulu, Paramount, Walmart+, Apple TV, Starz, HBO+ and cancelled half my cellular with AT&T and went on a skeleton plan for the one phone, deleted Uber and left X, Meta apps and stopped posting on tiktok. I’m tired, boss.

Sure you can. I have only WhatsApp and it is purely for international friends. I use it rarely. I find my life is so much better without social media noise.
