It's crazy how long they've been running this series like it's some shoestring budget fan project. The amount of people saying it looks incredible while I'm seeing the image reconstruction make Chief's hands fully phase through his weapon is driving me especially insane

Was watching a friend play through it (it's on gamepass and they had a one year subscription) and it just feels so modernized in the worst possible way. Loot beams on weapons, hitmarkers, extra dialogue that just explains mechanics… The cutscenes look like something out of a neocranium video!

the bonus mission literally opens with chief doing his 'boo' to scare a grunt in the covenant hangar then immediately it starts playing impend and gives you a battle rifle its like losing chess to a dog

Halo never really reckoning with the fact SPARTANs are child soldier super weapons meant to curb stop rebellious colonists and weren't even *that* great at fighting the Covy was always annoying like they're so close.

idk I guess it gets worse but i'm not sure they ever thought the unsc were bad in the actual games, the first game is about the virtues of stoic heinlein militarism vs organised religion (also how you can be an emotionally closed off teenage boy and the cute girl will definitely still like you)

they made the cortana character in halo infinite like that as a joke and yet

i was really hoping they'd make the cave entrance look natural in their UE5 paintover and add an extra layer of confusion to it instead they just deleted the weird ramp bit from inside and made the walls in the big room more visible to kill the atmosphere

I literally didn’t even know it was out until I saw it on the steam homepage… I have bought every previous entry in the series and I have no plans on getting this one

The sting of this sort of thing got taken out when I realised Infinite, 343’s absolute last ditch, most fuckin Herculean effort for the series, is just a 7/10. Halo sucks post Reach and honestly even Reach’s characters suck

You where probably then one of the people getting to play it. MS still managed to botch the launch, with people not being able to log into their accounts to play.

I’m not talking about FF7 Remake specifically. I’m talking about remakes like this one, Silent Hill 2, Crash N.Sane and many others being shitty inferior versions of their respective originals and how they’re the only accessible versions to play said games, which is fucking infuriating.
