put kickassia back on letterboxd right this fucking second

if the tmdb mods are gonna allow what is essentially an e3 demo to stay then they have to allow every single piece of recorded video on the internet i'm sorry

i do get the rationale that these are weird because they're showing up on streaming services and/or TV formatted as short films, but it is kind of strange they don't include ari aster's shorts and whatnot given they include thesis films and festival-only stuff otherwise

(GTA:SA The Introduction is extra weird because it and the RDR one probably have the most actual claim to "is a coherent short film worth noting" but it was never actually released in this format and was a special edition extra with the game itself)

yeah i mean the tmdb mods are famously just evil and particularly cruel to independent filmmakers without traditional distribution, who cant even get their movies listed on the database service everyone uses. huge problem in online film culture space. this gta thing is just a funny expression of it

“the film” pulling a lot of weight here. gonna start putting Nintendo directs on my movies watched lists

Wild how every database site has mods with this exact form of brain problem

Hahaha. I spent about 3 days slooowly helping a mod at IGDB to understand that yes, Nintendo officially released two Virtual Boy games this month; no, they did not leak; yes, they have no physical release but they are not Nintendo Switch games...

in general a lot of text-based platforms are moderated by people who Can read but don't seem to think about what the words they look at actually mean

Incidentally I am out of the loop on that, what?!!
