I don't want to be on here. I want to be anywhere else There's nowhere left to go. And I say that as someone on mastodon and a bunch of other places. If I want to try and show the stuff off I do to people, there's nowhere else to go.

I was raised on this. Due to my autism and quarantine, it’s what taught me “adult” socialization. I despise the creature these apps have made me into.

You put EVERYONE in the same Big Bucket where they can jostle around and run into each other. Even with curated feeds there's no way to guarantee you won't run into someone who uses the platform for completely different reasons than you. This introduces corrosive social dynamics.

don't take the shit serious at all get yourself banned over and over and remake all the time it's good for you

for what it's worth your posts showing up on my feed usually feel like a fun respite from a lot of the rest of the site. I've deffo felt the overall tone of this place leaning more twitter over time

In turn I think this reply itself will make me seem like I'm here to be incendiary and rile you up, but if anything I only mean to point out that I think you're hitting the nail on the head precisely here.

And of course I rarely post my own thoughts on here because I don’t like the way I’m incentivized to present them. … Maybe I’m better off not using this site at all…

It’s this one and the “Tomorrow’s Joe fans are annoying cause they keep saying Tomorrow’s Joe is better than literally every every other series, but here’s the thing: we’re right.” that enter into my mind and make me laugh randomly through some days so thanks for the good laughs if nothing else 🙏

You guys really need to: 1. Take a break from the Internet. 2. Take some responsibility. No one else can make you the person you want to be. If it's so hard because you are too obsessed with likes, you really should get help.

i think it allows for a more holistic view of people, when their thoughts are all laid out like that

I think for me I've accepted that twitterlikes are a place where I'm never really going to be able to express the full breadth of my emotions due to its limited nature. I have to talk conversationally as well. and a site like this just isn't going to be for that ever
