Obviously a kindle is an ontologically evil device and in the amazon ecosystem and everything, but it's still kinda shocking to me that when you open a book, it will skip past the dedication, epigraph, and table of contents to put you on the first "real" page

do you ever think about how insane it is that its called a kindle? like kindling? fire? is it meant to evoke book burning??
