Yes! When I go to local protests, I always take a flag. The flag has been appropriated by nazis. It has been for a while. Since the 1930s, the flag has been used as a weapon by the right. We need to take it back and show that it stands for what we stand for- not what they stand for

I can understand how people commenting here feel about the flag - like its meaning has been stolen. It’s not the same level as what you’re all experiencing but we have Maple Maga in Canada who fly two flags out their pickup truck windows, since the Ottawa occupation in 2022. Now it identifies them.

I think you are too late and should start designing a new flag for whatever is left after the dust settles. If anyone outside the USA still thinks the stars and stripes represent freedom then they are living in a rose tinted past.

I took our flag down in 2016. The only flag I will ever put up would be a Purple Heart 💜 flag honoring my Vietnam Purple Heart spouse. He’s always voted Democrat for a good reason. He was also a PATCO ATC fired by Reagan.
