Putting the poorly written headline to one side, this is nothing. Short version: Maybe Ned's knack for magic in "No Way Home" allowed him to break the forgetting spell at the end of "Brand New Day." Everyone involved in the production says "I dunno, maybe?"
Spoiler. Go see the damn movie -- it's so much better than it has a right to be.
.
He says "Peter!" because he heard MJ call Spider-Man "Peter" earlier. Ned made that connection at the end. It's not an indication that the spell is broken.
If this is snark, feel free to fuck off. If you're genuinely curious:
1) movies with this many characters, especially ones with contrasting tones, don't usually work. Here, they fit and complement Peter's story.
2) movies with this many sequels usually run out of steam, and this one doesn't.
That’s a totally on the nose observation. I’m not inherently a Spider-Man fan, but I’d say of the 9 big screen Spidey movies, it instantly jumped to the top of the pile for me. It was more about this movie feeling like ground zero for the MCU X-Men really hit for me. It’s been so long in coming.
