@zackpolanski.bsky.social and Lula both have one thing in common (apart from great policies to protect the planet and promote social justice that is). They have both had their accounts on Meta/Facebook suspended during elections. Politicians being silenced by Zuckerberg are the best politicians.

When I first read that I thought it said, "I regret not making more cuts to the Chancellor when I was on benefits." It makes *way* more sense than the reality.

Dr T🎃ny K👻inth@tonykainth.bsky.social

This cunt was the health secretary but has clearly never spent time with someone who struggles with major depressive disorder or generalised anxiety disorder or similar diagnoses. Both can vary in intensity. Both can be disabling. Neither have particularly easy-to-access care in the NHS.

Used a voucher to spend a few hours watching somebody having a worse time than me; Clayface. Don't worry about online w**kers saying "Here's a clip of the *final form* and it looks stupid!" It is fluid and grotesque throughout. The odd snapshot will look daft, of course. 1/2

You know that feeling after you watched Rogue One? "OMG they made a convincing 'war is hell' movie in Star Wars" It's like that. They made a convincing horror movie in the DCU. Lots of fun. Will watch again. *Very* promising for the new DCU. (OR is it in the Pattinson Elseworld? I dunno.) 2/2

Neal Lawson: "I couldn't live on the meagre benefits people are getting. To suggest that we have to cut those.. actually that's where the engine of growth is, that's the people who spend.. how do you get people out spending.. not by cutting benefits of people at the bottom"

A competition to see which type of fortified wine brings about the best pun-adjacent assemblage of words. Sadly this would still only be a portmanteau and, as such, will never be celebrated for its true nature.

"I agree with you, mistress. He already had behaviours that made me dislike him. And no, they definitely weren't symptoms." They can pretend to be that thick (and a few of them are) but mostly they know exactly how cowardly and rotten they have been. Feel some shame FFS.

I don't understand how any one of them can trust or even suffer the company of any one of them again. I certainly won't. I would point to an inability to entertain injustice but we're getting worryingly close to symptoms again.

Another one here where the British press just smashed fuck out of a member of the public’s life for no good reason, just because they wanted to and nobody will stop them doing at. And they’re still going, even now.

“Israel is a very racist country, its government routinely commits horrific crimes” was a humdrum opinion, fifteen years ago: never uncontroversial, but well within mainstream though. Now, our whole political/media class believes it is insanely extreme. Who is it that has been radicalised, here?

JK Rowling writing a whole damn essay that goes, "I know I'm a billionaire, but it's the TRANS who are the real elite, and I'm just using all my money to fight the TRANS ELITE whose only tangible power I can articulate they have outside vague fearmongering is them harassing me on Twitter!" is wild.

What is it about centrists that makes them so gullible? Everyone I know, knew Burnham would not be a left wing PM. He has never been left wing. He hasn't ever pretended to be. But loads of people just refused to believe that the widely predicted Thatcherite mess we see unfolding, was possible.

Shame on my ex-profession for failing to stand up to the rampant transphobia within NHS England and within its own ranks. ‘We know our actions will cause harm to trans people but we’ll do it anyway because we either a-believe trans people are less than or b-we are cowards’ Which one are you?

TransActual@transactualuk.bsky.social

We believe that the public has the right to know the consequences of this policy change. So if NHS England won’t publish the full assessment, we will. transactual.org.uk/blog/2026/10...

I'm about to be reintroduced to Eddington on #STDS9 and I remember him as being the most principled guy who wouldn't accept Apartheid. Am I about to be disillusioned?

You know what? I've been halted late s2 in my rewatch and you just inspired me to go back to it. God damn I love me some Bashir.

Bashir just ROASTING magicians in this opening, my god

There appears to be some yelling event in student town tonight. I suspect the newly enpubed are trying out their grownup voices for the first time. But don't worry, an hour long shower has begun next door with deafening rap music. I'm in hell.

Thankfully, the biblical deluge has chanced upon Cardiff. The warbling infants have retreated to yarp another day. ...and the shower has concluded. My ear plugs are out for the moment. I will dream of quiet homes and consistent ethics. ...and then wake and put the plugs back in.

It's very tricky being disabled. This is why - when my disabled partner said he wanted to split - I just accepted it. But now I have to face things like; - without practically constant attention I could die (I've had three fits in the last month that lasted for brain damage durations. Funny!). 1/

Wait. I despise people who *deserve* a good despising. Comfortable cowards. Fuck 'em and all of their enablers. This is evidence of nothing but your own cowardice. 3/3

- I'm trynna expand my friend group but I have to start with "I have nothing to offer except my imminent death." - I'm trynna stay alive to care for my daughter who is even more profoundly disabled than me but hey, that's another negative, right? Goddamn, I despise people. 2/

I've long admired this piece of writing and acting as it captured a lazy misogyny typical of that age. Turns out the script for MI:II was written by Robert Towne. Who wrote Chinatown. ... Boy has problems...

As I'm screaming into the void here ... the MI movies lost their way the first time they used a director for the second time. Yes, McQuarrie did a career-best job on Rogue Nation, and a thoroughly credible follow-up with Fallout but where else was there to go but down? The formula *was* working.

Selecting writers and directors on current (or past) merit had shaken up a great mix 5 times! There's not a movie in the first 5 (6 even) that lets the series down. The Reckoning movies were just embarrassing. I saw them in the cinema and it felt like an autopsy. Surely the series is dead now.

Possibly the worst time in my *entire life* to watch Bo Burnham's "Inside" but ... here we are. If you wake up and your house is full of smoke, don't panic, ...you have a fucking house. What are you panicking for?

I feel contractually obliged to point out (as soon as I noticed) that McDonald's currently has a Szechuan Sauce currently available. Aldo take your meds. Apply for PIP. Chase up your referrals. That is all.

You didn’t have to come out and SAY that you were packing up your ocean-crossing canoe to search across the seas for a new land just to get away from your awful family, but you know that had to have been a FACTOR for a lot of history’s intrepid explorers and settlers
