I live in a small town in the Mid Hudson Valley. Many of the small town here don’t register protests with nat’l organizations because the towns don’t have an infrastructure that supports large numbers of protesters. Not the parking or protest space where they are seen as hundreds of cars passing by

I’d like to assume numbers. At the protests around here where I live in Massachusetts, there are x number of folks standing with signs. But I think it’s fair to count all those in cars who honk and wave and show support as they drive by. And that is a LOT of people - increasingly.

Just FYI, the one labeled "Atlanta" was actually Savannah GA today. (Atlanta was big too!)

Right – downtown LA was far from the only one in the metro. I was at the Culver City event…and I’m sure there were at least a dozen others.

So 8 million out of 342 million is approximately 2.34%.

May 1st. Indivisible is calling for one day of no work, no school, no spending any $ at all. I'm hoping this is a practice run before they expand it into an actual general strike.

I don't know how they can get a good count. My husband and I and our son all registered, but our three friends didn't (worries about being on a list in this crazy time). Basically, there were twice as many people in my group. How often did this happen throughout the country?
