mixed media is cheating! Photography is cheating! The only real and valid skill is accurately capturing something with lines you draw with nothing but your hand, using minimal-to-no reference! Composition? Design? Colour-grading? Compositing? Typography? Silhouette? Those aren't real skills i guess!

for real, good lord-- reminds me of a comic i saw about comic artists reusing drawings and panels and that it was cheating and 'uncreative' and the whole comic consisted of just 2 drawings reused over and over with different dialogue like bro stfu

art is supposed to be an expression of someone's feelings or inner world or idk, ideas!!!! It was never meant to be some slop you barf into the world and go 'see i can make art!!' its not about that and GOD people seem to miss that point entirely- its about the process, what you learn HOW you learn
