How do you all install/run PostgreSQL nowadays? Is Homebrew still the way to go or are there better ways?

All my projects run on the same postgres version so Homebrew does the trick. If I have a project on an older version, I'll upgrade - even if that's just making it run locally. That being said none of my projects do anything "fancy" at the database level.

I'm sure there's a "better" way, but if we've gotten this far with Homebrew I'm sure we can keep going 😂

Docker and expose port to localhost. Homebrew tends to install latest versions and overwrite the data we already have. With docker you can set your own data paths and have multiple different versions for different apps

I should prob invest some more time in docker.. i expect it to be pretty straightforward to set up for postgres (prob just an existing image more or less, with some config?)
