the ceasefire deal happening now with “moderate pressure” on the israelis points to the biden administration being in favor of the 50,000+ deaths of palestinians. i’m really not sure how else you can interpret this

Wasn't Biden the one guy who made comments about Palestinians that made even Reagan or Nixon uncomfortable? Like I pretty adequately remember he said that shit and one of those guys were like "bro... Too far."

It has been blantantly clear that the biden administration actively wants israel to keep bombing and killing civilians for over a year at this point, and anyone that doesnt see it is at best an idiot in denial but most likely another imperialism supporter that doesnt want to look at its consequences

It's the Reagan ceasefire agreement all over again is what it is. Showmanship and cooperation with another dictator to win hearts and minds at home in America.

Biden's handling of it was botched from the beginning because he never cut off the weapons and followed the law. But this also comes on the tail end of all republicans and a lot of democrats too, voting to sanction the ICC in congress.

Liberals are on Bluesky so they could do shit like ignore Biden's genocide in Gaza and now applaud Biden for reaching the same peace deal Israel has been rejecting since May 2024. Their brains are broken.

As we encroach a ceasefire deal which was offered multiple times over the course of a year+, I want people to remember The Logan Act, "Reagan's" hostage negotiation, and the spinelessness of the Biden administration to exert any force whatsoever. Not great news. We return to the silent violence

It points to the Israelis getting what they wanted from continuing to not bow to pressure so why would they keep being stubborn now? They get to do whatever they want deals be damned soon anyway

and the israeli natl security minister said he'd been delaying sabotaging the past ceasefire deals so maybe israel was like 'yeah we've basically wiped gaza off the map, it doesnt matter now'

Actually it’s happening on sunday which means everybody really should get rid of everything war related by disposing it carefully into children, schools and other people/stuff asking for it.

Biden's been horrible on Palestine but it seems very clear that Trump was Bibi's preferred candidate and I'm not surprised to see him withholding what would be perceived as a "win" for the US president until his chosen guy is elected

My Dad used to savagely beat the shit out of my mother during his Sunday binges. Before they finally got divorced she'd lost three of her teeth. Even though I lived there and didn't do a thing to stop it I was 100% against my mother getting her teeth knocked out. "I'm just sayin'..." ☢️☣️🚫

If Bibi really did ratfuck Biden, that just begs the question of why? Biden was an open and proud Zionist who gave Bibi and Israel everything they could possibly want and ran defense for them constantly. Trump meanwhile is notoriously unpredictable. Seems like a bad trade.

I'm not willing to totally discount the idea that as a hard right ideologue, Netanyahu is just really, really stupid. Maybe he did want to help Trump for reasons that logistically don't make sense just because he likes the guy. And maybe his lack of foresight is gonna bite him in the ass.

The post I'm responding to is literally suggesting there is now moderate pressure as if there had been none before. Believe what you want, but it is my opinion that there was no way this deal was happening until now, specifically so they could give trump credit. But hey, whatever you think!

Maybe there's no way this specific deal would have been agreed to. But Biden could have just straight-up stopped sending them weapons (or better yet started shooting down IDF planes) at any time, he just didn't want to.

Israel is completely dependent on US arms, if we turned off the spigot like we should have decades ago it wouldn’t matter for crap who Netanyahu wanted to win the election, because the IDF isn’t invading with cricket bats

Moderate pressure is in quotations. The point of the statement is that Biden applied absolutely no pressure on Israel. You can believe what you want, but historically, Israel has always been completely reliant on the US and has always immediately caved when pressured however slightly.
