sometimes everything going on in the world makes sense when you realize the average person just doesn’t know anything

Was buying books and I told the cashier how I'd lost my wallet and the only thing I needed to get is a new ID, but I'm scared of going in govt bldgs right now. She said "you don't need to worry about that here (in MN)." The 1st thing I see getting home is a report on Alligator Alcatraz."uh...huh..."

It really really is that simple. The average person has zero curiosity about the world around them and only cares to learn about things that directly affect their lives. It's our largest hindrance and their greatest weapon.

As someone (me) who doesn't envelope words or phrases like "they all," I ha\ve no idea what the hell Labubu is and have never watched "Love Island" (have heard the name, no idea what it's about).

i can read between the lines, Jay. despite your best efforts to distract, it's all about what you didn't say. The New Sabrina Carpenter Drink at Dunkin' ®️ was mysteriously absent from your post. they all know that you know the second the new Sabrina Carpenter Drink drops at Dunkin'®️. checkmate.

It’s somewhat funny in a very grim way how so many people who voted for Trump are genuinely shocked that he’s doing the things he promised to do. People really do just vote on the basis of “my guy will do only the good things he promised and none of the bad things he promised”

Worst part is, those same people are the fucking INDEPENDENTS. The die hard maga republicans love this shit, it’s the “I could go either way” crowd that’s so important to winning an election that is this stupid. The key voter bloc in America, the undecideds, are also just total morons

The most insane poll I saw was one that found a majority of Americans both wanted to deport all undocumented immigrants and to give those same undocumented immigrants already here a path to citizenship.

sometimes we need to put things in perspective too. there are around 8B people in the world. many of them are harassed daily, live in extremely poor conditions, etc... the US us still better than most places. it's just sad that it's no longer the beacon. i really hope we can get back on track soon.

When you operate off of this, people basically go, “wow, how did you know that would happen” There are outliers sure but most people are conditioned to operate off of pleasantries and social cues rather than stoic brass tack facts and information

It's 100% social engineering. When you see how many countries have thrown socialist revolutions and within 5 years have achieved 99% literacy, even the ones that failed to achieve any other metric, it becomes obvious that humanity understands how to educate people very straightforwardly.

reminds me of my government class 10 years ago. where the teacher asked the same girl the same question EVERY MORNING "what are the 3 branches of government". she still had trouble with it at the end of the year, guess what the first question on the final was? the world is screwed.

I had to take an economics course in university and to this day it's the funniest course I've ever taken, profoundly unserious. It's memorable because of just how bad it was, and it certainly wasn't bad because of the Marxist indoctrination I've heard so much about on the internet.
