we really are on our own - I thought, naively, that *at least one* big press/media outlet would at least cover what he's saying and doing objectively *especially* given that we've lived through this hell before, but NO

just super weird that I don't see fifty deep dives a day into the absolute carnage that will happen when a Trumplican court turns the entirety of U.S. consumer protection oversight into the legal and policy equivalent of a seasonal decorative gourd

because one of these plans is a dim mobster's brain fart designed to bully a neighboring country into kissing his ring (and distract the clickbait press from his garbage appointments), the other is a very concrete plan that's happening as we speak

Thanks for this... And I appreciate you being exhausted having to relay this... Be sure to take care of yourself. Because I barely am able to sustain one article on this... I can't imagine what you have to do.

His personal project is to steal as much money as possible for himself and his friends. Everything else is distraction. After 10 years, the press keeps getting hoodwinked by the distractions.

Your President is threatening an economic blockade of our country. He's already promised massive tariffs on Canadian imports. You should probably pay attention to what he's doing to us.

He’s running the reality show for nonstop attention-which he needs pathologically-while his power hungry sycophants and associates-who are fully in charge of things-are making actual plans to destroy the country from the inside out. He’s their distraction tool.

Exactly. This is a distraction. Smarten up people and media. Look at his real hurtful agenda he is working on. This is just entertainment and the more everyone falls for it the more he implements harmful, evil plans. The fact the media has not learned this is irresponsible and disgusting.

Our news media is ill-equipped to distinguish attempts at distraction from whatever it is they’re distracting us from. The attention economy demands our eyeballs at the stupid and sensational, while the real work of corruption grinds on.

He's being allowed to say this by his handlers because it's a good diversion It's far more sensational and eye\catching to write about a supposed plan to invade Canada than it is to write about the plan to dismantle consumer protection And they don't want to draw more attention towards the bigotry
