Donald Trump is a very stupid fucking person who genuinely has no idea how anything works and the U.S. press should never be allowed to live down their failure in communicating this mercilessly and clearly to the U.S. public

it's impossible to tell where the "dumb as fucking paste" ends and the "shameless lying sociopath" begins and I suspect he doesn't know either

Trump: "They put in algae! Who the hell puts in algae?"

“Imagine the press reaction if any other president in history had spent the country’s 250th anniversary celebrating a bribe from a middle eastern nation while boasting ‘America couldn’t build this’ about an American plane,” I whisper alone to my mannequins as I pound my head into the wall repeatedly

if a progressive or even marginally truly leftish president (not that we get those) had done even 20% of this shit the press would just absolutely demolish them. just fangs out, drawn and quartered hyena-type shit.

From mediocre NYT editors, culture warriors for nepo baby AG Sulzberger angry about woke Me Too, billionaires "Bari Weiss, Friedersdorf, Harper's letter signatory. their careers based on appeal to Andrew Sullivan and editors of Atlantic, official publication of donor class" bsky.app/profile/nytp...

"here we go again, the new york times calling an increase of 115k jobs under Trump "solid" while it called similar or considerably bigger gains under Biden "disappointing" or "weak" bsky.app/profile/bubb...

And if there were a leftish party behind that person, and they all stood resolutely behind their candidate/officeholder, the story would die. It seems as though Democrats aren't willing to turn their collective back on their principles. Republicans already did.

This was not failure. It was planned. Every second of this circus has been packaged and sold because the idiot masses lap it up. Because "Joe was boring!" And it isn't just us in the US, its everywhere. There needs to be a media reckoning. I wish I knew how, but it HAS to happen or this will repeat

I legitimately don’t know what could convince me to trust anything I’d read in a newspaper or see on a news program ever again. I will never trust a journalist I’m not extremely familiar with. Trump era proved how broken the industry is.

Biden would have been called a traitor by the entire right media and dems would be asked to defend this for weeks. Now, it will be immediately forgotten by our so called “liberal media.” How does no one in media care about the danger this buffoon puts us in?

I want to watch a live stream of Donald Trump navigate and drive himself from DC to Bedminster, replace a tire by himself along the way, and when he gets there patch a section of damaged drywall at his club just to prove he has some baseline human traits.

I wish right wings nuts would act like right wing nuts whenever Trump trashes the US. Imagine Obama getting gifted a plane by Qatar and him saying “the US couldn’t build this” lol. Would be genuinely apocalyptic.

I've been screaming this for years to anyone who would listen, often in the drive thru of wendys. He's not a mastermind, he's a generationally wealthy dumbshit. He's never had to work for anything or learn anything about anything. He has no idea how anything works. His one move is "being louder."

I mean, it's not like there's a great paper showing that The Apprentice significantly increased Trump's political popularity because he was portrayed as really good at "moneymaking" ungated: static1.squarespace.com/static/59485...
