This needs to be said openly: This is what happens when the government is led by someone who attempted a coup d’etat, and his agencies are run by his stooges.

Pretty late on the filing. Are all the necessary parties named? Is the issue ripe for litigation? Isn’t the ruling by the Alaska Supreme Court final?

Didn’t Republicans run a candidate with the same name as the Dem in Florida? Caused the Dem candidate to lose in a very close race?

Yet when a candidate spews lies in commercials or on the stump the Roberts court has said it’s up to the voters to discern the truth—so voters should know which Sullivan they are voting for before entering the booth—this is a BS Trump excuse!! DOJ has zero to do with Alaska election---the shit Todd!

If our team loses on a long last-minute field goal we didn't lose. If we lose by a touchdown, maybe we lost but maybe not. If we lose by more than that, the election was rigged, because everyone said the election was going to be close. Sorry but those are the rules. (Not if we win, though.)

Its been litigated already by the Alaska Supreme Court. The federal government cannot sue. They have no legal standing. Its a weak case.

The Alaskan Supreme Court ruled that his name being similar didn’t present a confusing obstacle to his running against another Dan Sullivan, the DOJ suit specifically challenges the ruling and asserts that he ran specifically to dupe people into siphoning off votes from the other Sullivan

Hard to prove intent though right? A candidate knowlingly running to syphon votes? Alaska has a ranked choice voting system too. They are probably wanting this to go to Scotus. But the law is clear. The DOJ is acting on behalf of the Federal Govt. Interfering in a state election.

The lawsuit will get tossed b/c the administration of elections is left to the state unless Congress passes a law that supercedes state law and because the election hasn't happened yet and thus no injury has occurred.
