Secret information keeps leaking on internet game forums and discords for clout so not too new at this point

Sven-Erik Volberg@volberg.bsky.social

Aida Chavez (previously affiliated with a slew of populist left outlets and Just FP, a pro-russia appeasement org) had her CIA contractor boyfriend leak classified secrets for her to publish in her failing Substack. Espionage for internet clout is kinda new?

The fear of AI is that it will create a machine that follows rules so literally, with such brutal utilitarian mentality, that it will do so to an apocalyptic degree. We already have this in society though and it's called German Protestantism.

The St. Louis Public Library has been named the 2026 Missouri Library of the Year for its community response following the May 2025 tornado. The library helped residents access recovery resources while working to reopen two damaged branches, both of which reopened in May.

stochastic parrot label has been interesting to me because they seem to respond best simply, to capable command of context and narrative - parroting particularly happens with poor prompts? So parroting is kind of an artifact of early iterations, or of people that can’t or won’t engage effectively.

◉●○•°@cosmoecology.bsky.social

Some scholars evn argue the parrot label has become a way to avoid engaging with how these systems are actually functioning, and reshaping education, politics, and labor—a stance that can function as a "comfort blanket" for skeptics. I have seen this is action.

Not that the extreme opposite is the case either, obviously. Deep results coached out from great prompting by skillful users doesn’t make a bot sentient - but if sentience of a bot is even a remote possibility that would indeed be an effective way to work toward it. Possibly the most effective.

So what’s the plan when midterms don’t go as expected for whatever reason? I already know the plan from the left, but I’m wondering what the liberal, the Democrat, the “upper class centrist veteran that believes Hegseth is the Antichrist” does, is the descent into election denial already upon us?

And for that matter, why shouldn’t it be? And what would you do if you believe the election was stolen but the other side were to then be parading around excitedly braying about how they stole the election at every rally and press conference for six months?

For real though they’ll never say they stole it obvs - they’ll just point to all the “fraud”“deception””interference” and say they won when you don’t count that so it will be as legitimate as any other election as far as that goes. You’ll never know unless there is some kind of red hot smoking gun

I wish Biden had been a war hawk who shipped thousands of Bradleys to Ukraine. I wish our entire stockpile of 155mm rounds were used on Russian soldiers. There isn’t a single escalatory act NATO members could commit against Russia that I wouldn’t support.

NEW - DHS appointees made an unusual request of CISA, its agency that protects election systems: Secretly acquire a voting machine and hack it. Though not acted on, the request shows how the Trump administration has tried to use CISA for its own ends.

Real heads form book clubs, conspiracies, plots. They stealthily move between communes they've set up across the world. They exchange strategies and tactics, supplies and strength, stories of victory and failure. They find the nodes where capital flows and set up blockages.

And in my triangle graph imagery I intended to be clearer that I meant that there is a middle ground between leftism and liberalism - there is no ground for fascism. Of course I am critiquing every syllable now that I typed a 12 skeeter.

liberalism, communism, and fascism are like at each point of a triangle graph. There is middle ground that is very productive - and the Liberal has their own fascisms to uproot. Like learning the difference between freedom to and freedom from. There is a joke trope about leftist infighting.

But I see it as being such a politically productive space it’s metaphorically “foaming” with new concepts and configurations. They won’t all be good. Fascism has one idea, leftism’s ramifications seem endless.

People think that Trump has made us that way but it was always in us, it’s been cultivated for a long time. The conspiracies are sometimes truer than anyone wants to admit so we pretend so it doesn’t hurt you know how it goes. Anyway my point is that there is suddenly a lot of middle ground.

The Liberal can suddenly mingle heavily with the Leftist, and see how similar they are. Differences are definitely there, and liberal is definitely a slur in some realms. That they value the community as the political subject over the individual feels like fascism, but
