Great. Now please help existing homeowners in areas where planners block solar or make it expensive & time-consuming to get agreement eg Oxford city conservation areas. We can't even put solar on the back of our roofs on many city houses in Layla Moran's constituency.

But what about wood burning stoves? They will pollute the air and lead to cutting down more and more trees.

What state/country?

Exactly, the only reason it isn't already happening is because the coalition Tory/Lib Dem government ditched the Labour policy.

I know that, but some in politics want to drop an idea as soon as opposition politicians agree with it. Glad that Labour is bigger than that.

Any plans to promote retrofitting?

Who was part of that coalition austerity enabling cut the green crap gov? Thanks for 14+ years of austerity.

Solar PV energy for new homes 20 years later than it should have been

Thousands of new houses being built in Bromsgrove, not all are being built with solar/battery, many are still being built with gas heating. It’s just mad.

Labour were always planning to do this with hints going back to 2023. A welcome change after 14 years of Tory rule, including the coalition Government who effectively scrapped the 2006 Zero Carbon Homes Plan that Labour put in place. Well done Labour for getting this done.

I think you mean '...in England'. Already happening in Scotland.
