I prefer not to comment on your human politics but was not that the problem? President Obama performed with remarkable competence as Leader of USA. But in the minds of many Americans his dark skin meant he should fail. Thus the job of President must be easy enough for any idiot. Which you now have.

My deepest apologies. The human concept of "countries" confounds me completely. I find the allegiance to sport teams more comprehensible. I believe that your hockey players are whom we can thank for the phrase "Elbows Up" espousing the determination to resist.

I think Americans were manipulated. Foreign influence and foreign social media accounts stoking fear and hate. Just like in Canada. Trump was an illegitimate “president” the first time due to foreign influence and the Republican Party chose party over country. Just like Conservatives here.
