You don’t need a carbon tax rebate. You need a good and reliable income. I think we should not be predetermining a solution for that. Maybe we should give Carney a few months instead of a few days to deliver.

The carbon rebate was to compensate for Carbon Tax, which you will no longer be paying, so no rebate but you should break roughly even. It always infuriated me that Mr. Axe TheTax, never talked about the rebates. Once again, pulling the wool over Canadians eyes.

i'm in saskatchewan and i'm very glad we have a low population because i feel like i'm in alabama right now. the cities always go NDP but the rest of the province stays conservative (sask party). so they're voting for PP. my god.

When the election day is close, check one of the strategic voting websites (not sure which one is most reliable, you might want to research that) and vote for whichever candidate is most likely to beat the Cons. We can’t split the progressive vote.

That said, I'm still angry at Singh for not stepping down. I'm upset he ditched and half ran from an agreement that got the NDP wishlist items like dental and pharma. And then, to make things worse, he didn't distance the party enough (by sacrificing himself) to win some votes back in the west.

Whoever you voted for in the past; the reality is if you want to vote for the next Prime Minister of Canada you vote Mark Carney. If you want to vote for the next Governor of the 51st State of the United States of America you vote Pierre Poilievre. It's crazy the choice is that stark.

You’re voting for the party and by extension an individual to become Prime Minister. We vote for parties here in the UK and it means whoever is their leader becomes PM. So you’re voting for them as well

Went back to my hometown of Detroit Michigan, 2022. Photos taken on/from Belle Isle. Have our passports & hope to visit Canada again traveling on the new Gordie Howe International Bridge. Use 2 take tunnel & Ambassador Bridge. So sorry Trump whom I didn't vote 4 is treating Canada so horribly!

It IS discouraging in Alberta. Navigating it myself for 50 yrs in Calgary. Carney is for now. We are lucky that he put up his hand to serve. He is the best chance for your vote to mean something this time. The most optimistic I have felt in decades.

Honestly would be great if my riding had a shift. Right now it's 35% NDP, 65% CPC, and Liberals don't even show as having a less than 1% chance Maybe if Smith keeps flying to Florida, she might shoot herself in the foot enough to make Alberta not the national embarrassment at the polls >.>

Yes, but I live in Alberta. Liberals have a less than 1% chance of winning even a minority here. My only choice is NDP or Cons here It's not a case of I want to, it's a case of this province has a seething hatred of Liberals to the point that liberal votes are effectively wasted here

In Kalispell Montana. This afternoon, walked past some protesters with signs, anti-Elon, anti-Trump. Not a huge crowd, but this is a low population density area. Gave them a friendly nod and thumbs up. Glad to know some people in deep red Montana are with the Canadians and decent Americans.

Not a good message for the leader to promote. Gordie Howe was infamous for elbowing players. That's why he spent nearly 1700 minutes in the penalty box over his NHL career, which is 3x the penalties Wayne Gretzky took in his career. Celebrating elbowing is like promoting clotheslining in football.

Me too! Friendly Giant was my favorite show on TV when I was single-digit years old. I'll always remember the episode they talked about opposites, hot/cold, up/down, etc. One of them said red/green, being opposites on a traffic light. Learned there are different kinds of opposites for anything.

My mom was born in Sydney, Nova Scotia. Her brother, John Buchanan, was Premier in the 70s despite the family losing their father young in the Depression. She moved to the US when she married my father but to the day she died she stood for the Canadian anthem. She remained a proud Canadian always

I’m voting Liberals in Apr. Last time, before the election, I took a test on a tool that was supposed to help people decide who to vote for. It showed that I’m approx. 60% aligned with Liberals and a bit lower with other parties. I don’t think it is possible to be 💯 aligned with any party.
