so you're telling me a white dude calls for mods to "clean house" of trans people, furries, and leftists he doesn't like, the head moderator of the website likes a bunch of his tweets, and then the next day the moderators begin purging the website of trans people, furries, and leftists? strange!

I'm pretty sure they actually wanted a Libertarian Crypto website, but it seems like they'll take libs over leftists.

This site is mostly trans people, furries, queer artists, sex workers, punks and goths. The fuck do they think it's gonna happen if we are all banned? The remaining bigots will have a timeline of one new post a week yelling about how we found a new site lol

You absolutely can, but it won't prevent them from modding. In fact, I highly recommend blocking all of them.

On a network where every post (and a large number of actions, including blocks) are public, this seems like a deeply unwise assumption.

they've banned multiple trans women for posts months or over a year old. this is nothing but a pretext to purge the website of trans women, right before Northsky is able to migrate people over. This is completely on the culture of liberals on this website for encouraging and defending this shit.

liv got banned for a post from DECEMBER 2024

looks like she's been unbanned now but this is the second time in a few days where a trans woman was banned for no reason and then immediately unbanned. also very strange!

This post is unavailable.

Not to mention they haven't unhidden my list despite an appeal and changing the name and description as I asked, so we can't even block these fuckers from seeing and harassing us. bsky.app/profile/mady...

So @safety.bsky.app has no problem with people repeatedly harassing and humiliating trans rape victims, but a blocklist that is helping trans people block people who participate in such behavior is against the rules. Got it. So much for "choose your own moderation."

This prompted me to go look at my lists and asuka xyz is down? I never noticed it happened, but I feel like I saw a label a few days ago. At least a British bigotry is still up.

meanwhile, Stancil has shooters at a major media publication writing an article that falsely equate Nazi trolls writing graphic murder fantasies of Stancil with trans women who laugh at his tweets. Really weird to put this in a news article!

Why is Will Stancil assumed to be acting in bad faith? Because he's a politician. When you're asking to have real power over peoples lives, even if you lose, you don't get the benefit of the doubt. You get triple-checked and held accountable because the alternative is shit like doge and people die.

honestly it's extremely funny (and dumb) to insist that it's the people responding to him as having an unhealthy and unrealistic relationship, considering how he acts on social media 99% of the time

A friend of mine showed me this. As someone who pretty much only uses bsky for art, I literally did not know of any of this, and I feel sick. Who even is this Stancil guy anyways? Sounds like a real piece of work. It feels like every semi-popular social media app is trying to please transphobes.

I read some more comments and apparently the guy in question searches his own name to get people to harass people that dislike him? That's really scary. I pretty much only use this account for drawing. I've never heard of this guy til just now. Trans people are people, like everyone else.
