I run games, I write games, and I make weird music. Friendly old multinerd who posts a lot of public domain art on here and Itch.

There's an illustration of a knight fighting the Lambton Worm in the next batch of public domain stuff and I'm betting it doesn't languish long before showing up in a module or game book somewhere. It's got immaculate vibes.

Some people really need to figure out that negative engagement -- constantly posting things designed to anger and spread bad takes -- is the primary mode for modern op-ed writers and pundits and quit fucking posting them.

Playing Cities Without Number in my own setting of New Venice, a "climate safe" city built inland after Venice went under the water. Tonight my players finished one gig, making a side deal with a paparazzo to let him go in exchange for money.

While simultaneously taking the ten grand they were paid to kill him by Starlight Nuevo, one of the "Big 3" entertainment companies. Then they took a gig from Serumoto Health, protecting a defected researcher from Silicon Dreaming, the quasi-fascist company that rules the global AI roost.

On their first night at the safe house a large drone dropped from the sky and started chugging .50 rounds through the wall at them, letting them know the location of the safe house had been compromised. They managed to blow it out of the sky and protect the asset.

If you're in the south of the U.S., you owe it to yourself to play Norco. It's a near future point and click game where you try and discover how your mother died. It is oppressively real, but smart and beautiful in its own way. And you can play Act 1 for free. store.steampowered.com/app/1221250/...

store.steampowered.comNORCO on SteamNORCO is a dialogue-focused point & click adventure that immerses the player in the sinking suburbs and industrial swamplands of an increasingly surreal and distorted South Louisiana.

If you run TTRPGs but have never played any oldschool Point-n-Clicks, you are missing out.

The first time I posted, I linked to the non-video version, and that was criminal of me. So I'm reposting. (Also, in case you didn't catch the innuendo, they're talking about butt sex.)

Well, if we're counting those: Lincoln Logs Green Plastic Army Men 12" GI Joes Pretending to be a Stuntman after watching Hooper Cherry Bomb Fights

I can never tell if I've done these before or just have deja vu. My first five TTRPGs (treating all the D&Ds as one) 1 Holmes/Moldvay Basic/AD&D 2 Boot Hill 3 Gamma World 4 Traveller 5 Champions 2E

I'm not exactly sure but I think: 1 Basic D&D 2 TMNT & OS 3 Paranoia 2e 4 Heroes Unlimited 5 Chill 2e

I've made a survey about scheduling, because this is a really interesting thing. I also have had a lot of problems with scheduling; it's one of the main barriers for a lot of rpg gaming I feel like. forms.gle/eeu31PUjGzxk...

forms.gleOrganizer/GM RPG Scheduling SurveyHello! The purpose of this survey is to gather information about RPG scheduling practices in 2026. Please fill this survey out once for each synchronous RPG game you've run at least one session of sin...

I'm backing this because so many of the people involved are the right kind of sicko.

AND IT’S LIVE! The Turtle God waits for you, beneath 210+ rooms of traps, mummies, bugs, psychotic gnomes, strange rabbit men, byzantine machinery, and twisting tunnels! Get in the hole! #osr #oldschoolessentials www.kickstarter.com/projects/see...

I don't schedule. I run at 5 PM on Sunday, 6 PM on Tuesday. If you make it, that's great. If you don't we'll play without you. If you miss too much, we'll find a player to replace you. And mostly everyone turns up every week and no one talks about scheduling.

Y’know, the “forever gm” meme is kind of annoying. Gming isn’t something I dislike, it is my favorite way to play games. You know what I DO dislike? Being the forever scheduler. The forever planner. The one who’s gotta get the ball rolling every time. I think that’s like half of gm burnout for me

"Come get yer parentheses and brackets for job faces!" the type salesman yells on the lonely beach. The lighthouse sweeps its cyclopean eye in an eternal circle. No one answers.

I've had a read of this already and it's pretty great. Post-apocalyptic scifi where you play the discarded children of a superior race, abandoned on the ruins of the Earth.

I've discovered old line type books, which were catalogs of fonts, decorations, and text frames they had available at print shops. They come in the form of 750+ page books of faux ads and article showing off various print sizes and what we'd think of now as Wingdings. archive.org/search?tab=a...

ADHD medication saves lives ❤️

Ina Hallström@killedbyproxy.bsky.social

Systematic review relevant to the discourse on diagnoses and meds. "ADHD was associated with increased all-cause mortality, suicide mortality, unintentional or intentional injury mortality, and natural-cause mortality, whereas ADHD medication use was associated with reduced all-cause mortality."

"First you wouldn't vote for Democrats over Gaza. Now you won't vote for Democrats over trans people. What's going to be your next excuse?" I dunno man probably the fundamental and non-negotiable human rights of some other marginalized group

If you're going to release a set of cards as a PDF, it seems the absolutely craziest way to do it is two separate files of backs and fronts. It makes it pretty hard to use a double-sided printer and requires resorting the printed pages into reverse order to get them to print correctly.

The scratch made pasta sauce was fantastic. Absolutely worth the couple hours of prep and two hours of cooking. Also I have about three servings left, headed for the freezer. Ran a cyberpunk game, ate fantastic pasta, and now I'm writing to the sound of XTC's Skylarking. Pretty good.

I got ~2000 loose ball bearings. Ball bearings are some of my favorite standard adventurer's gear. Incredibly useful for escapes and moving large objects, dirt cheap and minimal encumbrance. Until you've seen a hoard of zombies falling all over themselves trying to get up, you haven't delved.
