No, I don't want to live in a fucking tomb where I can't go outside ever again and the world has been destroyed, no, not even if it has an indoor pool The lack of imagination of these idiots is pitiable, unimaginable, this is what comes of not reading On the Beach when you are 12 or whatever

This is where the 1% will go to restart civilization after a nuclear attack. But it for me thinking: what if the uber wealthy built these bunkers for more people — and not for nuclear attacks but for the climate crisis that will get us all — instead of trying to leave the planet?

Yeah, when the interviewer asks him "How do you defend this?" I wasn't expecting that as the answer. I took it as "How can you justify the inhumanity in the conception of a project like this?"

When he asked “how do you defend this” my mind went to morally how can you defend doing something selfish and foolish like this 😣 but no, he meant hoarding, wastefulness, and guns

All I can think of when I see "pool in a nuclear bunker" is an exceptionally bleak part of the already exceptionally bleak LEVEL 7 by Mordecai Roshwald. It's a dream sequence, and absolutely equal to the main character's world. (still need to read TERMUSH and MALEVIL, though).
