It has to be an unnatural state of existence for a human being, isn't it?
If a social media platform can radicalize an adult billionaire like it radicalizes teenagers, then maybe they too don't have a good foundation of life skills to protect them against algorithmic harms.
Their brains are broken and, globally, we must rein in their power. Billionaire have proven themselves to be malevolent actors against the common good. They should be taxed out of existence because they would not care one bit if the majority of humans are impoverished and starving.
I think it’s roughly as bad for your brain as playing NFL football for an equal amount of time.
Minor brain damage repeated day in and day out over and over again until something fundamentally breaks.
The thrill of having power over others. Of bringing people to heel. Seems being a billionaire activates and excites that depraved little corner of the mind. They really do think they deserve to rule over us, and want their boots on our necks.
I promise him that at no time in the past was there "a cop on every corner," because that's a buttload of corners and a complete waste of resources.
The SF Police aren't that stupid.
And we're talking about people who wouldn't walk 1 block to get the bullet when my car got ahot.
How would he know what San Francisco is like, he doesn't even live there anymore!!
"Since the pandemic, he has mostly lived on the Big Island of Hawaii..."
But they legally can't be used as cops and he certainly knows this or should since he is popping off about it. Another billionaire just demanding lawlessness if it serves his interests.
Oh my God it is an absolute war zone in the upper Haight. People salaciously drinking kombucha and fresh juice squeezed juices. Shamelessly eating vegan food and smiling at each other. The horror…
Is there some weird chemical offgassing in some rich people product they all buy that can explain this? Like hey - the finish they use on your yacht’s seats is actually making you cray cray. Kinda like how lead is bad for you.
At some point they completely check out of reality. They have absolutely no connection with normal people anymore and everything becomes a competition with other billionaires.
I'd laugh my ass off if the guard rebelled and starting rounding up all Trump adjacent billionaires. Benioff would then be like, "No,no,no not like that, I wanted them to rid the city of the rabble (some people who don't worship money) I don't want to see."
How far beyond are we from what the stated purpose of this admin the military is for, including the NG? Anyone see a problem where you say the military is for killing and destroying things and then saying they need to be in cities to "patrol the streets" for crime?
Impossible to say but they're really not doing a great job of regime consolidation. Trying to get the guys with guns to kill their countrymen who have obviously done nothing wrong is a very make-or-break moment for a government because on numerous occasions they kill the leaders instead.
If I became a billionaire, I would set up a trust to pay a small number of employees whose sole responsibility would be to tell me when I have gone round the bend.
I mean, I don't know whether they're annual, but Benioff has thrown tantrums threatening to pull Dreamforce out of SF, prompting Lurie's predecessors and probably Lurie to Potemkin powerwash SOMA. Then he sounbites, "why can't it always be like this?" to which we can look at Wired on his taxes.
Can't find the specific article but the one where he calls in a bunch of middle school principles from their actual jobs so they can photo op fawn over what in terms of his wealth was a parsimonious fucktard gesture, no one should be surprised SF's sugar daddy swings pimp slaps.
Having a hard time reconciling a guy who celebrates an "Ohana" lifestyle, has been a large benefactor of important public things in SF (hospital, homelessness) and is a supporter of Ukraine becoming this trump-sycophantic.
These fuckers need to be taxed back to reality 🤑
"Salesforce has hundreds of contracts with the federal govt"
"Mr. Benioff, who also owns Time magazine,"..."said Time, which named Trump its Person of the Year last year, had faced no pressure from the White House.
“We haven’t been under attack,” he said. “We provide accurate, balanced journalism”
I think when it's heavily in your interest to adopt certain positions you become a true believer whether you meant to or not
Also I think everyone forgets these billionaires are all in group chats together cooking each other's brains
🤮🤮all these bros we thought were human(e) a decade ago have gone so dystopian.
They're so goddamn rich, they didn't need to choose this putrid path.
Disgusted.
