Call me crazy, but I don't think the question of whether or not Bovino belongs in his job depends on whether or not he deletes the tweet he made calling protesters "cannon fodder." Making the tweet (along with many other things he's done) should disqualify him from any law enforcement job ever.

Rep. Lieu: “Greg Bovino last night made a post that essentially called protesters, ‘cannon fodder.’ He needs to delete that post, or he needs to resign…If Greg Bovino and the administration doesn't turn down the rhetoric, it's going to cause more people to get killed.”

Bovino's sworn testimony is that he doesn't tweet and doesn't even know how to tweet. But on the other hand his sworn testimony was shown to be full of easily documented lies. And at some point he has to own the tweets he doesn't stop from going out under his name.

Just speculating, but many “leaders” may be afraid of being labeled alarmist, or they could be in disbelief of what’s actually happening. The rhetoric is used because they mean it. Not a mistake. Bovino’s not taking it back nor resigning. Acceptance of these facts is crucial to move forward.

I am still amazed at how essentially all of the elected dems except the squad, continually fail to grasp the moment. They really think they’re going to ride back into power just being “not the gop/trump,” don’t they? PRIMARY ALL DEMS.
