Holy moly! I guess this hit with a lot of folks. ❤️ Been a busy day (making comics!), but I'll be sure to read through everyone's comments when I get a chance. In the meantime, give someone an encouraging word this week! Ya never know who might need it it. 🙂

That was a LOT of comments 😅! Thank you so much for all the kind words and wonderful little stories. Sorry I couldn't respond to them all. I read each one tho (I think) and they overflowed my ❤️ gage this afternoon. Love it here. Back to work! ✍️

Find your joy and know others find joy in what you put your passion into. Nothing makes me smile more than a friend showing the painting they love the most and explaining how difficult it was even if I can't understand the enthusiasm makes the art better.

I have comic books in my classroom library, so far they have not been banned. They inspire struggling reader's, and comic graffics are fabulous. I even have students create their own comics, for busy work when they are finished with their assignments🤩

So true. C'est notre béné-malédiction commune... Si ce n'était pour nos (rares) lecteurs qui nous coincent, cela ferait longtemps qu'on ferait un "vrai travail"...

My childhood was so much brighter spending part of it reading comics...I would start with a big stack and just read for hours. Going to the grocery store once a week meant 3- 4 new comics from the magazine rack..keep it going. Do like your panels...you have your own style and it's cool.

The fans keep you going. That's true for all Media. Only reason any Media continues is because Fans stick with the Media that creators work on. If fans just stopped caring about creators works BOOM that Media suddenly stops being made. Am I right ?

I literally just found you, but I love everything I've seen so far! I showed my artistically inclined child the rainbow girl and he fell in love! "She's so adorable!"- imagine the highest pitch voice possible

Ever since I found Cleopatra in Space it has greatly influenced my life and inspirations. The show and comics are a story I tell to my friends with excitement and joy because I love so many things about it. The way you layout pages, your color choices, etc. are a joy to look at and think about often

Everyone is seeking purpose in life, but I think we're supposed to get purpose through our work. When I contract for someone, I don't really care how much money I make, the value to me is in providing value for others. You must be so fortunate to get such validation so explicitly.

Excellent. It's the same with being a 'small' author. It's a grind, resulting in a ludicrous time to reward wage, and I often ask "why do I bother?" And then I get something - an email, a social media post, a comment in person, that makes it ALL worthwhile.

I love this, just yesterday I had that same thought. Even not receiving that email I know we are fighting for a better world for everyone and keep reminding myself that there is gratefulness for every little good step, especially actually in the darkest of times. Thank you ❤️

🥰❤️‍🔥 🫶🏻 I LOVE this so much 🥹 PS, comics have a strange way of saving those of us who won’t or don’t always reach for help, but find a sacred unity within the Characters actions and morals to battle through their struggles finding reason again. #AppreciateThat all of it🫶🏻❤️‍🔥

I've so far only made artwork for fun. One day I did get a fan letter for a cartoon I'd made and put up on my homepage. It was over 20 years ago and I still have it. It was a big motivator.

More realistic in my world would be that emailing arriving weeks earlier so I have to remember it myself WHILE feeling discouraged. Nothing falls in my lap lol

I had many cases like this. Since I still fairly unknown and have yet to really get into the industry I sometime wonder why I even bother. But almost like magic, I get the comment like this that keeps me going.
